Foreign Missions

The Foreign Missions Team at Saint George has been active on a number of fronts throughout the years. Currently, the team cooperates with the Community Outreach Committee in hosting Greenville’s international students at a Thanksgiving dinner in November. Throughout the year, smaller events and outings are planned for reaching out to students and scholars who have come to the United States from all over the world to study.

A new program of regular support is underway for Love One Another Ministries, an indigenous ministry to orphans and unreached people based in Odisha, India. Support of the APA’s partner churches in Haiti, India, and the Philippines is ongoing through provincial Lenten Appeals, while donations for the specific needs of those churches are supported on an as-needed basis. The Foreign Missions Team has promoted an annual missions conference, welcomed missionaries to speak at special events, and kept abreast of the persecuted church around the world. As always, we desire to follow as the Lord leads towards finding our role in His work of reaching the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
