Bible Study and Special Courses
Throughout the year, both the men and women enjoy weekly bible studies. For those women who prefer a morning study, one group of devoted women meet at 10 AM every Monday. On Wednesdays, another women’s group meets at 1:30, and the men meet each Wednesday night at 7 PM for their study. Dialogue is encouraged in all of our classes so bring your toughest questions and be ready to learn from the leaders, from one another, and from the Holy Scriptures. Courses typically take a break during the summer months. For the past few years, a special summer course has been offered on Wednesday evenings through July and August in which we have studied the works of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien with a guest teacher and special speakers.
Sunday School at Saint George begins at 10 AM with classes for both Adults and children. Our courses for adults range in topic, generally approaching scripture and theology from the unique standpoints of liturgy, church history, or the Church Fathers. Children’s Sunday School provides basic bible instruction in an intimate setting for children through age 12 with a rotation of curriculum that helps make biblical revelation captivating and interactive.
